Tom Stevens - The “Sooner” the Better

Tom Stevens - SoonerSOONER is the name of the new EP release by Tom Stevens, and the timing couldn’t be better.

Those who picked up his last release, 2007’s HOME on Avebury Records, have been eagerly awaiting something new by Tom Stevens. This six-song collection is a satisfying mix of new (“Black Beauty”), old (the Long Ryders’ era song “How Do We Feel What’s Real?”), a cover (The Only Ones’ “Curtains For You”) and three more tunes (“Tomorrow Never Comes,” “Wait,” and “Tenth Street”) that Tom has written and recorded over the years but never released until now.

For the converted, SOONER will not disappoint. For those checking him out for the first time, SOONER will surely win Tom new fans, with his trademark style that combines melody, grit, and intelligence.

Tom is currently writing new songs in anticipation of his next full-length release. In the meantime, SOONER serves as a tantalizing taste of what is to come.

SOONER will be available November, 2009 on iTunes, and as a limited CDR through Tom’s website, www.tomstevens.org.
