VARIOUS - 35 !!! Years Bear Family Records
Bear Family Records BCD 17035 PR
Includes Tom Stevens' solo version of Bear In The Woods.
To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Bear Family Records did something different. Rather than compile a deluxe compilation from its compilations, it instead asked music biz friends, musicians, and songwriters to write and record "bear" songs. Most are brand new, though some date back to the year 2000. There 68 of them spread out over three CDs.
They asked Tom to contribute a song, and he wrote Bear In The Woods for the occasion. In 2017 The Long Ryders recorded their own version of Tom's Bear In The Woods, which is currently available in digital format only.
